Events

United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) convenes events throughout the year for affiliates, people with disabilities, families and partners in the field to share ideas, resources and insights.

UCP annually hosts three major events that illuminate its mission:

Fall Forum
UCP's Fall Forum annually addresses a topic of importance to the disabilities community.  Past gatherings have examined economic and work issues, federal legislation, the role of technology to advance independence for people with disabilities, and advances in accessible housing.

Annual Conference
UCP's Annual Conference brings together its close to 100 international affiliates and other partners for a three-day exploration of topics important to the disability community.  The 2011 Conference in New Orleans examined major shifts in policy, funding, advocacy and services at the local level.

Spring Convening
UCP's Spring Convening provides an opportunity to celebrate the advances the organization has made during the year, hailing the work of critical partners and laying out a topic important to the disabilities community for discussion and further study.  In 2011, UCP will explore the important role of international collaboration to advancing the civil rights movement for people with disabilities.

Partner Events:

Disability Policy Seminar
The Disability Policy Seminar is held each year on Capitol Hill for advocates and activists to learn about policy issues and meet with their representatives in Congress.
